Steven Stone x Male!Reader
Oneshot

Warnings: None.

A soft wisp of air passed by [Male Name], as he yawned and tugged at his dirtied grey shirt for a little bit of warmth. He leaned back into the Pokemon that was lying behind him, gently pressing his back into Arcanine's side with a quiet little 'hmph'. The large beast blew a smoky little sigh on the top of it's owners head as if to say, 'don't worry. We're almost done'.

[Eye Colour] eyes boredly glanced to a torch that was resting upon the wall. It wasn't a very modern torch; a simple block of wood with the end on fire. "Steven," [Male Name] piped up softly, drawing his arm back to rest his elbow against Arcanine's fur. "Are you almost done?" Arcanine growled softly, as if reinforcing the question, clearly bored as it waited.

Steven, who was crouched down beside the wall, his silver hair illuminated from the blazing torch above him, nodded. "Don't worry, darling," he answered, looking over his shoulder with a soft smile. "They're loose. It's not long now." His icy blue eyes seemed to be smiling, as he happily regarded his love. "I apologize for making you wait so long - I just saw them, and I had to."

It was odd to see such a formally dressed man in a cave. Then again, they were both somewhat formally dressed. The two men were both quite clean-cut, and liked to look decent. [Male Name] was dressed in a simple white button-up shirt, but the collar was pulled open for comfort and his little [colour same as the eyes] bow-tie hung loosely around his neck, un-tied. He was wearing simple black jeans, which added a more casual accent, but a pair of dress shoes hugged his feet. Steven, on the other hand, seemed much more on the formal side. His trousers, his shirt, his jacket, his cravat. He was an odd man that liked to spend his time digging up stones in dark caves, in a suit no less. [Male Name] had never seen an odder human, but he had never complained about it.

After observing Steven for some time, [Male Name] pulled his rolled-up sleeves down, adjusting his position against his prized Pokemon and best friend. "He said that an hour ago," he spoke in a hushed tone, scratching Arcanine behind the ear. "Thanks for at least being out here to lend me some of your warmth, Arcanine."

Steven looked up briefly as he heard his love speak to the Pokemon, and laughed quietly. "It's not that cold," he interjected, to which he could almost feel the glare on his back. He directed his attention back to the stone upon which he was gently trying to pull out of the wall, but it seemed stuck. "You should have brought a jacket, [Male Name]."

"Well, I'm sorry," [Male Name] replied in a sarcastic tone. "But I didn't intend to spend 3 hours in a cave."

Again, Steven laughed. "Yes, yes, it's my fault, I know. If it was any other stone, I might have passed it up, but this one is just to precious."

"All stones are precious to you, Steven," [Male Name] brushed a few stray strands of [hair colour] behind his ear. "What's so special about this one?"

"You'll see," he responded, smiling to himself as he dusted a layer of dust of the shimmering stone in the wall.

[Male Name] rolled his eyes, clearly not satisfied with that answer. Even so, his attention returned to Arcanine, as he adjusted his seated position so that he could lean his head on Arcanine's neck. The Pokemon accepted [Male Name]'s contact without a sound, and folded it's front paws over one another.

The silver haired male at the wall kept digging and digging, chipping away at the rock and sediment that was holding the stone that he desired in place. It took a while, and thankfully, [Male Name] had went silent and Steven could concentrate on getting the stone out. Gently, Steven began to pull the stone out. It was rickety at first, and he had to make sure that he was being as careful as he could. After a few attempts, the stone had finally been separated from the wall, leaving an opened crevice and scratch marks where Steven had been digging.

His face immediately illuminated with a smile, as he blew the dust and dirt away from it, before gently using the end of his sleeve to clean it further. The thing shone brilliantly, and it was exactly the colour of [Male Name]'s eyes. That was the reason that Steven had loved it so much; the colour and the shine all reminded him of the somewhat smaller man that sat about three meters away from him.

"Done!" Steven piped up, turning his head and upper body so that he could see [Male Name]. "I've finally-" He paused, his shining eyes stopping on his love, who just so happened to be asleep. It took Steven a few moments for it to fully register in his head, slowly taking in the sight of [Male Name] burying his head into Arcanine's fur, holding onto his own arms in attempt to provide a little more warmth for himself. Steven had never even noticed how cold it actually was, too busy and preoccupied with the stone to even notice the drop in temperature.

In that moment, Steven felt guilty. He'd forced [Male Name] to wait around so long that he'd fallen asleep, and Steven could even see the poor man's body shivering slightly. His eyes connected with Arcanine's amber orbs, noticing the somewhat annoyed glint in the Pokemon's gaze.

Releasing a soft little sigh, Steven deposited his new stone into his pocket and stood up. He brushed the dust off his suit, and quietly stepped towards his boyfriend and the beast. Steven crouched down beside the sleeping male, a soft smile adorning his lips. Reaching down, he gently tapped [Male Name]'s nose, waiting for a response. [Male Name] twitched lightly and screwed up his nose like a little rabbit, which brought an amused chuckle out of Steven, but [Male Name] did not awake.

Steven straightened out his upper body, and began to tug off his jacket. The cold air hit him through his shirt and waistcoat, but he didn't mind. Once his jacket was off, he gently placed it over [Male Name]'s upper body, using it as a blanket. Steven put one hand on Arcanine's hip for support, so that he could lean down and safely place a little feather light kiss upon [Male Name]'s forehead.

Straightening himself up again, put on knee on the floor, whilst the other leg was bent. He slipped one arm beneath [Male Name]'s legs, and the other around [Male Name]'s waist. Pulling the slightly smaller male into his arms, Steven slowly rose so that he was standing, with his love safely in his arms. As soon as [Male Name] had been moved, Arcanine stood up, a grumble of its name escaping its muzzle. The beast shook some dust off its fur and stretched out its limbs, looking back to Steven as if to say, 'can we leave yet?'

Steven chuckled softly and nodded, gently adjusting the male in his arms before heading off, Arcanine following closely behind with a soft pad of its thick paws. And all, was quiet.
Sorry. I'm just heavily obsessed with this absolute cutie of a Pokemon trainer.
There's not much romance in this, but it's a tiny little bit of fluff.
And hey- You get a super badass Pokemon. Aaay.
Arcanine is one of my absolute favourites. There's always one on my team. Always.

Well, I hope you enjoyed it~

I also suppose that you can mentally pretend the Male!Reader is female, too. Whilst you're reading it, just pretend it says 'she' and 'her' and whatnot. It's not hard.

There will not be a part two.

I may however write more one shots for Steven, because he's a cutie-

This Steven image did you do? If not, do you know who it was? I need to use it in an assembly for a Pokémon RPG narration and I wanted to ask permission from the owner of the image.
